There is an ATM at the airport. If you have a fixed budget, using a Prepaid Mastercard denominated in £s is not a bad idea.
    Travelex Cash Passport Globe

The XCD is not listed Mastercard Currency Convertor, so if you want to work out how much money you can spend on the card for a given £ amount; use XE.com to get the exchange rate for XCD and multiply that figure by 98 to get an around-about figure. Multiply that by the amount of pounds that you load and that is how much you can spend on the card.

Otherwise or also, consider applying for a Halifax Clarity and/or Santander Zero CC, using that and paying off the full balance as soon as you get home.

Changing money may mean that you have to change it back. Keep your money in Pounds.

A bit of a pointless reply unless you state the pros and cons....

I take it if I bought or paid for anything in US$ i'd get the change back in EC$....or higher denominations in US and the smaller change in EC ???

Thats what happened in Cancun.....larger notes in US and smaller in pesos
