A month in New Zealand

Hello
I will be spending a month in New Zealand in January and I would like to know what is the best way for me to take currency? I will be paying for trips, accomodation and stuff and spending cash while over there so I know a card would be best but I'm not sure what is better - a pre-paid card or a credit card? I just don't want to take a wad of cash or silly travellers cheques like i did in Oz! Please help me. Thanks.

Why not take both, say pre paid as a main 1 and cc as back up or other way round0

The best credit cards are better than pre-paid cards. The Halifax Clarity is the best credit card overall, see the article on the main site.
