The advice I gave you before remains the same. They want you to give them £550, at least, for what exactly? How did they get your name, you do not have a telephone directory listing that says 'timeshare owner, easy touch' by any chance? No, of course you don't, there are so many con men who buy lists (legally or otherwise) and if they see 50 people a week at £550 a time they are making a lot more money than you or I.
I am not aware of any legal case, if I cannot get you to ignore it, ask them for the name of the case, they will refuse to tell you, so then please ignore it. Never pay money to sell before a sale takes place, never.
Go back and look at point 2, that website is selling a lot of weeks in Club Praia De Oura and that will give you an idea of what your week is worth, nothing like what you paid I am afraid but paying £550 to recover even £1000 which may be all it is worth and then give them 40% of the £1000 means you might get £50 even if they are legitimate, don't do it!!!0 -
You were advised at the start where to sell it completely fee free.0

Alan, in fairness, I have been trying to sell it and they seem to have a list of all timeshare owners at the CPO.
I agree that if it seems too good to be true, it will be a scam.
The thing that gets me, is the £550 upfront. If they waived it and got rid of it, I would gladly pay the 40%, plus the £550 after the sale, but not before.0 -
If you only get £1000 for the sale, they then take 40% (£400) plus the £550, then you are left with £50. If they sell it for less, you end up owing them money which is not the name of the game. Paying before is madness but even paying after seems complete folly. Follow Budgetflyer's advice0

What really got my attention was the mis-selling, which they said would refund the original price, interest and any maintenance charges I have paid.0

OK, they have you hooked, Be it on your own head, we have all given you the warnings we can. It won't happen.0

Don't get me wrong Alan. I will not pay £550 in advance, even with their promise of the section 75. They are now calling me daily, and I am not answering. I may ask them to do it for 50%, no upfront fee, and see what they say.0

In 5 minutes this morning I have found enough on ITRA to know they are complete con merchants and linked to a string of similar operations. It appears they appeared in The Mirror less than 2 months ago, they are, like the rest of them based in Gibraltar. Do not waste your time even answering the phone. There is no legal action, and the sooner you realise this the better. Stefano, I will not post here again, all I can say is listen to your inner voice, its a con0

Ok Alan. I did not find any evidence to the contrary, but I will bow to your better skill to filter through the web, and will listen to your advice.
I will block their calls and not do anything about it.0
