pretty clear isnt it for most people
for you well theres no hope is there
would hate to get behind you at the asda checkout as you peruse the labels on the frozen peas before you let mandy scan them
it maybe YOUR terms, but under OFT its unfair to keep a deposit if a fair and given satisfaction of explanation as to why they have pulled out is given to you especially when you havent spend a penny on that vehicle.0 -

i really dont understand your problem
im in a market that changes daily i have overheads i cant hold cars and then customers change their mind art the drop of a hat
they pay £100 as a deposit to buy not ponder on and talk to the wife

If the job is too much for you, perhaps it is time you considered an alternative. If these pressures of costs are exceeding your ability to cope with them, perhaps you ought to consider altering your business practices, to include a fairer method of dealing with customers. Perhaps trying to treat them with a bit more respect and affording them some courtesy would go a long way to helping them chose a suitable purchase, rather than ramming it down their throats and alienating them. A respected customer is likely to buy more than one who feels he is being treated like a chump.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
never had a problem with taking deposits ,im a fair guy and only deal with fair customers,all the others usually sort themselves out and usually end up on a site like this moaning about being ripped off when they pushed the dealer into a corner like a snarling dog then it came out to bite when they returned with a problem

If that is what you believe, it is no wonder you find the job so stressful. Perhaps if you afforded your customers with a bit more intelligence and respect, you might find your life a little easier to cope with.

just giving them back is for you it seems.
the only time it seems when a dealer is backed into a courner is when a customer stands for his rights when something has gone wrong, attitude alone does not justify a non refund of a deposit i'm affraid. quite frankly the posts here are showing what your like as person to do buisiness with.0
