Blackberry 9780 or Blackberry 9900

Hi,

I've decided that I want to change from my HTC Desite to a Blackberry (I've found it a struggle to type using the touch-screen keyboard and believe that it's worth losing a few apps for being able to type properly again!).

I had been waiting for the new touch / type Blackberry Bold 9900 which is due out in the next few months and is priced at around £520 at Play and Amazon.

However, at the moment, the Blackberry Bold 9780 is around the £300 mark at both retailers. Would it therefore be worth me waiting for the new model and paying more, or would I be better off just getting the 9780?

What would you recommend?

What new features will the 9900 have that the 9780 can't already do?

I'm afraid that the 9900 outperforms the 9780 in most areas, but it really depends on what you are using it for.

A few key points to look at: (9780 in blue, 9900 in green)

9780 / 9900

480x360px 2.44" screen / 640x480 2.8" screen (better)

BB OS 6.0 / BB OS 7.0 (better)

624MHz processor / 1200MHz processor (better)

5MP camera / 5MP camera (both the same)

256MB internal storage / 8GB internal storage (better)

32GB external storage capacity / 32GB (both the same)

512MB RAM/ 768MB RAM (better)

HSUPA support? No / HSUPA support? Yes (better)

It's obvious that the 9900 is much much better than the 9780 so I'd be better off waiting for it to come out!

I agree with T_T, Bleckberry 9900 is definitely going to outperform bleckberry 9780. It is better to wait for 9900 as it is going to much better with great features and functionalities.

Feature wise it goes without saying that the 9900 would have better features.

However it totally depends on you what you want from the phone.
