sorry sounds dumb, but my sister is due next mnth and i want to stock up for her.. can you please advise what size she would need for a baby girl?

Theres quite a large over lap in sizes.
Both my girls were in size 1 for 2 packets, size 2 for a couple, size 3 til about 9 months and size 4 after that.
    Dd1 was 7.12 and dd2 was 8.12 when born.
I breastfed my girls (dont know if that makes a difference to pooing habits) and they had some explosive toilet trips that led to poo all the way up and over the tops of the nappies, no matter which brand i used!

No one warned me about that!

I would stock up on size 2 and size 3 for your sister and let her buy the few packs of size 1 she will need separately.

  • Wish Asda was closer, think I may need to be place a wee order for home delivery though too good a price to be missing! Wish my daughter would stop growing though because the bigger the nappy the less you get in a box, had to swith to size 5, couldn't squeeze her in the 4+ anymore :D

Ok I'm stuck. Between myself and my folks we've tried Bangor, Ards & a phonecall to Dundonald but none available. The only option I have now is to get home delivery but if the stores don't have them then how does that work with substitutions? Also, on the Asda code thread, there's a free delivery on £50 or more but I can't get it to work.

I'm now thinking I'll let DS1 run around with no nappy on and train him to pee in bushes :D

Caz, there were plenty in Asda in West Belfast today. Have you tried there? They are open 24 hours.

It's a bit too far away unfortunately. By the time I'd drive there I'd have lost any savings in petrol!

Any idea when the next Baby Event is? They're usually every 3 months and the last one was in April but no sign of one coming up :(

DS was born at 7lb 10 and is 11 weeks today - he's only gone into size 2 this week so I think it varies a lot depending on your baby's build ( he weighed 11 lb 7 oz on Monday but is long and slim !)
  • Ordered 5 boxes online and delivery man turned up without them saying they were out of stock. So a bit later i went back on asda website, logged in and it let me add more boxes to my basket. Rubbish system asda. Waste of time!
