Silence is golden...unless you have a toddler. In that case silence is very, very suspicious!

Unfortunately that's like asking how long is a piece of string. My DS2 is almost 4 months old and in size 2 nappies but he's only recently come out of size 1. Someone else I know has a 2 month old baby who weights more than my 4 month old!! Even hospital measurements can be off. I was initially measured by bump size then when we found that the little one was being an acrobat and changing position regularly, I had to have weekly hospital scans which showed the weight to be totally different. For me anyway, the hospitals proposed birth weight wasn't far off but I wouldn't have relied on it.

If it were me, I'd stock up on a couple of boxes of size 1 then a good 4 boxes of size 2 and same again for size 3. I have lots of size 2 & 3 from reductions but DS1 is almost out of my stockpile of nappies and isn't ready for pull-ups so I'll be hunting out 4+.

I should also add that some people are fussy about nappies and will only use certain brands. I found that at different ages Pampers or Huggies were better than eachother but when they're reduced to that kind of price, I'll accept that there may be some leakage accidents.
