Pampers Mega Boxes £10 in Asda

I was in Asda and they had the Pampers Mega boxes for £10.
Size 3 contains 144 nappies
Size 4 contains 120 nappies
Size 5 contains 99 nappies
Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert:
Asda has said these are simply markdowns from previous promotions, so it's while stocks last, and not every store is likely to have them.

Is this really good price-wise ? I know nothing about nnappy prices and a friend has just had twins and I suspect will welcome recommendations of where to get cheap consumables

Isn't that the price they used to be during the baby event before they started charging £12? I think that's very good value.
Looking at mysupermarket:
Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 Maxi 7-18kg (82) - £10 (Jumbo box - 12.2p/nappy)
Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 Maxi 7-18kg (120) - £10 (Mega box - 8.3p/nappy)
Edit: Tesco have them on 2 for £20 but only for the 82 pack box so still better value in Asda.
I know where I'll be going tomorrow!
Thank you OP.0 -
Usually the best offer is 2 Jumbo boxes for £20, so for size 3 nappies that is 2 boxes of 96 nappies. So for a tenner you are getting an extra 48 nappies at size 3.0

I've stocked up so much on RTC nappies from Tesco & Boots that it's only now that I'm having to get more. Back when I had DS1 (2 years ago) the Mega boxes were only £10 in Asda. Nowadays them seem to be £12 unless I'm going mad?0 -
Thanks OP, I'll head there early in the morning, before its all gone at my local Asda. Thats a good bargain and am always stocking up!You are 48% tight

well looks like im off to Asda tomorrow morning to stock up on nappies - this is very good price, much cheaper than Amazon where i normally get nappies from when they are on special.0

Can anyone tell me if this deal includes active fit please?0
-
From looking at mysupermarket it doesn't look like it. The only boxes of Active Fit are the jumbo ones at 2 for £20 but nowhere near the same amount of nappies.0
-
thanks OP will go to the ASDA tomorrow morning hope to find this offer in my store.
i wish if i knew about this before, as bought two jumpo 'active fit' boxes from boots on sunday for £20 and they are around 64 each... so this offer could save me £100 -
Mothercare have Pampers Active Fit 2 for £20 also, and there are codes on the discount code board, but as you've said there are less in these packs than these ones at ASDA. I'm buying for grandchildren so not much clue as to how much better Active Fit are than Baby Dry!0
