You'd need to be mad to pay for maintenance cover. The boxes are guaranteed for 12 months and if they go kaput after that, surely you would be able to get another one out of sky by signing up to another years contract.

Why not just tell them to mind their own business? By confirming that you don't have cover, you details will now be sold onto companies selling this pointless insurance.
If it was Sky, they would have known if you had the cover.
I'd register with the TPS ASAP.

These calls are hillarious from my end because im all like "yeah mate i work for sky in technical services....brrrrrrrrr"

But yeah sky would never cold call you tbh in regards to sky protect anyways. If its a cold call ignore imo always phone them direct if your looking for this kind of thing however farfetched that might sound XD. But i apply this to all companies i deal with :).
  • Okay I have been an idiot. 6 weeks ago I was cold called by a company claiming to be working as a third party for Sky Protect. I ended up spending £60 over the phone only to get a letter from Sky themselves today talking about renewal. The first company trades under the name of BOX COVER LTD.
They go me hook, line and sinker! They even encouraged me set up a password for their account so other companoes didnt sell me their cover!
