thats what i would have thought, because when i clicked on the link, it only asked for my digital signature and no other information.

just strange to me why they then said they would be in touch in 7-10 days after that

surely the part where it says 'it will take you to the screen where you can view and accept your terms and conditions.'

how can it be declined after saying that

This is very interesting as I just filled in the form today and got some bland message of hearing from them between 7-10 days.
One thing springs to mind - after I cleared my credit card debts *ahem* MANY years ago - I always pay my balances off in full. When I was filling in the form and I was opting not to transfer balances, it asked me in another window if I really really sure (!) ... And I remember MBNA would always cold call soon after I cleared my debts and whenever I told them I payed off my cards in full, they would literally hang up the and then. I managed to catch one guy once and asked him what the deal was and he told me "you are simply not our target customer"
So ... Did you opt to do balance transfers when you filled yours out?
And I wonder whether I will get declined? Will come back and let you know!!

Just to follow up - I hadn't heard anything back from MBNA so I called them - apparently my application has been accepted but it takes them up to 10 days to action anything. Lots of hard sell to do balance transfers etc when I called but in the main they were polite and informative.

I think, though, this will only be my "use for play.com points only where I can't use Amex" card!!!
