No I didn't go straight back to the store. It's a fair drive away (I only used it for a change as I was on the way home from somewhere else in that direction) and I simply couldn't be arsed once I'd gotten all the way home.
And nope I didn't eat the food either, I threw it all out.

KFC replied to my letter saying that as I threw the food away there's nothing they can do.

Was it not cold by the time you got home?
Without proof what did you expect KFC to do?

15 minute drive along the motorway but to go there specially to complain would be a 30 minute round trip.

I didn't think keeping some old KFC and a fingernail whilst I waited for a reply to a letter would be important. It wouldn't really have proven I found the fingernail in the food, unless they were going to get MI5 in to do DNA tests on the staff and the offending fingernail.
