do i need to cancel Euro order from post office?

Last night i placed an order for Euro's to be delivered to my local post office.
I though order had gone through, but noticed email from PO this afternoon saying they needed to speak to me before completing order.

I know that i gave wrong contact number so it's impossible for them to contact me.

The thing is the exchange rate has jumped a fair bit compared to what the PO offered last night, About 40e difference, so do you think am i safe to say now that the order wont go through.

I know its a bit sneaky but 40e is 40e.

Am i a bad person.
