sick note, please help with dates

I get 12 month sick notes and they are always dated the same date every year, never had an issue. They always used to send me a reminder but the last few years they haven't so I am not even sure if I still have to supply them, but I do.

Surely they must be continuous or you're not covered. This 10 day thing I think may have been a misunderstanding or a rumour. It might have something to do with how long they'll typically wait for you to submit your sicknote before they stop your benefits.

Regarding getting sick note - depends what you've agreed with GP/surgery... sometimes my GP insisted I see him to get one but most of the time I could just call and order one for pickup the next day.

Yes I think you are right that all the dates need to be covered by a sick/fit note and also that they give people a certain amount of extra time if a note is late - as you say maybe 10 days.
