As it would seem my post has gone from yesterday I will ask again....

When posting links to argos 'bargains' could MSE'ers post the *please note section as well? This makes it easier to asses instantly if this is a genuine bargain and not Argos spin.

Why? if you cant get it any cheaper elsewhere its a bargain regardless of how much they have previously had it in a sale for. Similar to tesco with the RRP/DTD items, the offers do get rotated around and at least Argos tells you that they have had it on sale before. When the sale ends if they are still stocking the item, thats how much it will sell for.

An items value is if you want to buy it at that current price and cant get it cheaper anywhere else. Not if you could have gotten it cheaper 4 months ago but didnt?

As was pointed out yesterday but removed, Argos sell at the higher price briefly and often in remote stores, it's more-often than not a marketing ploy.

As was also posted yesterday, unless you are posting these solely for the thanks you receive I dont see the harm in being totally transparent about these so called 'bargains'.
