do not been to be an eco fundamentalist, but you get some decent rechargable batteries on ebay from china - looking at the higher Mah the better usually and can work well for cameras/devices - and maybe we can all consider this, save a bit of the planet, etc etc. Otherwise for remotes that use very little consder IKEA batteries, I think 99p for 10
