Sorry to be a numpty

You don't need special kit though... a jam jar with drainage holes in the lid or greaseproof/clingfilm with air holes works just as well. I buy organic seeds & seed mixes from the health food shop.
I like mung beans, alfalfa, radish, lucerne (and probably some others... I've forgotten, but you need to try and see what appeals!)0 -

Nobody's edited your original post #177If they had done, it would have shown up as "edited by" and a date and time immediately below the post.
Your OP was very brief, with no details about how you wanted to "eat right" so one of the BGs will have merged it into an existing Healthy Eating thread to give you ideas

No, but above, you'll see "Quick Links" - click on that and then "Subscribed Threads". What you then see is all the threads you've posted on which have been updated since you last posted. If your post has been merged, it will appear in Subscribed ThreadsWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
hi all
wow - loads of good ideas here...
I know i need to be braver and stick to my guns when they refuse to eat what i give them.... but
just one question ...
if they do refuse your healthy meal, do you really give them nothing else instead? even if that means them going to bed hungry?
or can i give in and let them have a banana before bed?
mine are only 3 and 5 - so i really want to set good habits now...

artichoke dont give in they will eat if hungry, give them a glass/cup warm milk before bed to prevent them waking in middle of night hungry but otherwise dont eat tea dont get anything else.
we were talking about this at work the other day as we all had to eat what we were given and admittly I come from a family of 7 children plus my parents and if you didnt eat some other !!!!!! would, think thats why i eat so much now and love food!!0 -
Hi
I'm on a total health kick after realising that I eat a lot of 'junk' (well not loads but more than I should) and processed food.
I've stuck to this plan for the last week but I'm getting totally sick of lentil soup and salads. Anyone got some (easy) recipes for healthy meals. I eat most things (not fish although I will eat canned tuna) and I have access to a slow cooker.
Please help.0 -
How about what I'm having for tea this evening - Chicken Tikka! Get your raw chicken, some natural low fat yog and some tikka spices. Mix Yogurt and spice to taste, cut up chicken in pieces, marinade in the yogurt mixture.
You can bake this in the oven or grill or dry fry it. Serve it with boiled rice (drizzled with a small amount of lemon juice), salad and a small (handsized) naan bread that you can buy from the supermarket. If you have young children then before you put all the chicken into the marinade, leave some to the side to make chicken nuggets with flour and egg.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
