Advice on Moving

Hi there,
I live in supported housing and have to move out of my current flat in 2 years (already been here 1 year so a year left next June) and I was wondering how easy it would be to move/cancel my services? I rang Customer Services up yesterday and they told me I had 4-months left on my TV and phone contract, and 12 months on my Broadband contract because I just upgraded to the 30MB broadband.
I have XL TV (with Sky Sports and Movies Collection in HD)
XL Broadband
and M phone
Also would it be possible to squeeze a better deal out of them? my dad recently got half-price Sky for 6-months threatening to leave them so I was wondering if I said that moving house is costly and that Sky have offered me half-price for 6-months if Virgin Media would match it?
Take care.

If you are not moving for 2 years, why are you worrying about it now? You can't 'threaten to leave' if you are still in contract. When you do move, you will still be liable for the rest of the minimum term contract unless you transfer the service to your new address (assuming that is cabled).
And of course with VM, a home move starts you on a new 12m contract anyway...No free lunch, and no free laptop
