I agree!, it got me abit annoyed last week and was half tempted to make a fake female name, email etc .. lol
I would'nt mind so much if it was atleast some of the time the men won them. But it really does'nt seem like it to me so far haha.2011 book, cardcase,Restylane skincare travel pack,Carrington rally ticket,Music CD,dvd,Printer,ultrapowerdvd110 -

I didn't say you couldn't post and I wasn't trying to make you feel that way, you had already posted the same thing in another thread which I felt suggested that only mainly single mothers won prizes (and before you ask no i'm not).
I think comping is a fun hobby for anyone who wants to join in, it certainly doesn't bother me if more women win womens competitions or not, statistically there are more female compers than male compers, but then for computer games and electronics I think I see more male winners, maybe more men enter, who knows.
Competition winners are picked at random, which means just that, unless otherwise stated that there will be say x amount of female and x amount of male winners.
I know that years ago before I started comping I believed that they never chose winners, that they would make up a name and be done with it but it was just another myth. There are rules and regulations promoters must follow, and if they state random entry in the T&Cs then it has to be random.Comping wishlist for 2017

I don't know about anyone else but I don't tend to check winners lists, but if you check this recent giveaway winners list for beauty products there are loads of male winners...

I'm female and I enter competitions for both me and my partner Ray.
Although I have been reasonably lucky with wins I have found that his name is far luckier than mine to the extent that if I were to enter with one name only then I would choose Ray's.
We have won a few comps on twitter and facebook with his name including female things such as creams and nail manicures and also 'male' things such as track days.
Personally I think it is all probably just down to the luck of the draw and is completely random.0 -
