i'm also having the same issue, we're in the middle of having our bathroom done and now that our new bathtub with handles was fitted we've seen the handles are too big so wont allow our bathscreen to close

does anyone know where to find those caps a previous poster talked about (preferably polished chrome), or even what they are officially called? i can't find slimmer bath handles so thought the caps to cover the holes would be better

    any help would be appreciated

Hi, tried to post, but having probs!

Try stainless steel coach bolts from screwfix (cat no. 52525, £1.68 for 10 - the 40mm bolts are fully threaded, so ok). You may need a washer at the rear, and some ptfe tape around the top of the bolt will help avoid causing scratches and make sure it is water tight.
Anyway, that is what I did and it looks ok (they would also be ok with a coat of gloss paint).
    All the best,
    Vini

Have you tried contacting Twyfords directly. I found them very helpful when I needed spares for a Twyford cistern.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

I don't know what the length between holes are but you could try anybath dot com. Sorry can't give web site address as the system won't allow it

Think they might have cracked it by now, Trev. The thread is rather old. ;)

    Cheers

Errm - the request was only 3 years and 8 months ago. Never mind.

    Cheers

  • I know thread is old, however if anyone is considering updating their bathroom and simply wants to replace bath grips or cistern levers, you should check out the website for jwbonser. They supply some of the larger bathroom manufacturers in the UK with grips and levers so maybe able to help.
