The Moneysaving in Families etc sub-board

Yes the clue is in the name, moneysaving....
Yet the board is like a mini mumsnet! Half the threads are about "how I hate my MIL!" (MIL - mother in law).
When - on the rare occasion - a non-moneysaving thread is moved to the arms etc, they start crying and emailing the Mse team to get it reinstated so now - apparently - the rules have been relaxed for them.
Ok fine, but then, in the interest of clarity shouldn't mse:
Change the name on the sub- board and,
Have the same 'relaxed' attitude for other boards? One rule for all?

People are discussing family or personal issues that are not strictly about moneysaving!? Damn them all!!
This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed immediately.:cool:0 -
I wouldn't mind so much, but anyone, newbie or not, who posts along the line of 'but this is not moneysaving, it's family issues' immediately gets told that they lack compassion and should shove off. That's not acceptable. Either split it out into 'moneysaving' and 'family discussion time' or have a note on the thread that non moneysaving threads are allowed.0

Hi
I think my post explains it. Yes it is a MoneySaving board and ideally we'd like people to help out with MoneySaving questions and answers on there but it's evolved over the years and we don't remove threads or posts on there now simply because they're not strictly MoneySaving.
