Hi Everyone
I really, really need to print out something for today at the latest, so don't have time to order anything off the net.
I have an HP Photosmart C3180 printer which takes HP338 cartridges. I refilled the black one last night and it's showing an error code for some reason. When I looked at buying a new black cartridge it's around £25 - £30 which I personally think is ridiculous. I'm thinking I'd be cheaper buying a new printer!
Can anyone recommend a good all in one printer that will take thick card, prints quite quickly and has reasonably cheap priced refill cartridges?
Thanks!

Take the cartridges out, give them a good shake like you are doing zumba and then place them back in again. If the error message still shows, turn the printer off at the mains and leave it off for about 30 seconds before turning it on again. That should resolve it.
As for the cost of ink, it is a common problem. Most home printers these days are sold at bargain prices but the ink replacement cartridges can cost typically anywhere between 25%-100% of the cost of the printer itself.
It is generally better to spend more money on a printer that offers more cost effective replacement cartridges.0 -
Having looked at the printer on the link above, it looks just what I'm after.
Does anyone know if it will print on some thin card too?
Also, as far as I can see the refill cartridges aren't too bad, am I right, or am I looking at the wrong ones - lol

These have a refill by post option of £7 for black and £9 for colour, as well as genuine and compatibles, maybe not the cheapest for those but it will show the cartridge numbers
