Wireless HELP -URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys - heres the situatoin - I have a wireless connecion from my laptop to my router and it has always worked fine but today when i connected my Xbox 360 to my laptop with an Ethernet cable something went funny.

Now the computer can see the wireless network and connects to it but Internet Ex and Firefox cannot connect - they kepp trying toconnect to my old dialup connection or my 3g connections.

What have i done wrong:confused:

Plz help guys

    Why have you connected the xbox to your laptop? Connect it to the router!

  • cant as router is downstairs and 360 is upstairs - how can i get internet bakc on my lappy?!?!?!?!:mad:

  • have done - reset everything to the same as before. When i try to go on iternet it comes up wth the dialup box. The it says i have to work offline -BUT THE WIRELESS CONNECTION IS CONNECTED AAARGGHH! - And that works fine cos im using it to type to you!!

    try using system restore on the laptop to go back to before you added the Xbox

  • IS that the only option -surely there must be a simpler way? Could i have wiped out the wirelss connection from the connections box in IE because icant remember whther ther was one in ther or not?

    Start, Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections, Check Never Dial a Connection.

    systems restore only takes it back to the day before (or whatever date you choose) ??

  • Haleluyah (sp?:confused: ) Got it working - i checked never dial (didnt help) so then Un-disabled (correct word?) my LAN port, disabled ICS rebooted and wham Internet was back!
