    Elaborate then ;)
  • Another update for everyone

I have just checked my online banking at 04.30 this morning, and can see that my money has at last been credited to my account.

Hopefully you will all find that yours has as well.

(Its is the amount they told me over the phone, so will be chasing them now for a breakdown later of which deductions have been applied.)

Thanks everyone for all your help and comments.

    Happy Spending :j
  • Hi Guys,

Checked my account this morning 0430 and the funds were in my account, obviously not received my letter yet so not sure what the breakdown is.

Just trying to work it out in my head based on my last statement, what I got seems kind of right if I deduct the tax.

I was hoping for more than what I got but just glad to get this:D. This has come at a very crucial time and will help to ease things a lot.

I hope you have all got your funds and I am feeling for those who sent their options for the payout in but got it in late or messed up. I hope you are all able to sort it out.

Not wanting to tell you how to spend you dosh but seeing we are in the appropriate site can I send out a little advice. Lets use this fund wisely. Over the years I am one of many who have been careless/carefree with money management and am now totally submerged in debt.

I'm going to use this funds to get my financial house in order. I am sure you will all agree with me, to be in debt is like being in bondage and I hate it.........................I want out.

Wishing you all financial prosperity and thanks for all your posts, they were very helpful.

Have received my money. And received the letter this morning. In my case, the money is exactly as was quoted to me. The only deduction was tax.

    Hi all,
I've been watching this thread with interest as my girlfriend is in the same situation and she was keen to know what was happening.
She received the letter this morning and the only deduction on there was 25% tax so that was nice.
The thing I want to help her with now is that she is currently not working and hasn't been working since April and not expecting to work before April next year but if anything it is likely to be less than her taxable allowance and has also not claimed any benefits at all. She wants to be able to reclaim the taxed amount as well, do you think that would be easy to do?

Has anyone who chose the default plan had any information yet?
  • Help - BT Retirement Plan Wind up

I just discovered on this site yesterday that the plan had been infact wound up!. Accenture who administer the plan did not forward my choices form to the correct address as they had it wrong on the BT HR systems. Therefore, I contacted BT Peopleline today (08003214747) and spoke to Accenture, they advised me that they took the default action of Passing my pension fund as a matter of Default process to Standard Life as they did not recieve any notification by the cut off date of the 9th of July 2011. I spoke with Standard Life who advised me to register a complaint with the managers at Accenture (BTRP), which I did so that they could refund whatever money was passed to them by Accenture. Is anyone or did anyone have the same or similar issue to this and recieve a positive outcome? Thoughts/experiences and advice would be much appreciated.

I finally heard back from them via email and was told the same again - that because they never received my reply it was too late to do anything about getting the lump sum.

Pretty gutted as I'm gonna miss out on almost £4k minus tax.

My only strand of hope now is that there might be some sort of cancellation period on the new policy that my funds are being transferred into. I don't know if that's likely or possible but all I can do is keep my fingers crossed.

Did you get anywhere with standard life in terms of a cancellation/cooling off period?
