Brand new ex display Siemens washer dryer normally £599, reduced to £100!!! They also had a top of the range Hotpoint which my friend bought, washer only from £449 to £100. I got some Christy bath towels (bath sheet size) from £28 to £2.70. I know they were £28 as I bought some in November  !

Ahh it was you - not that I needed one but I noticed the sold sticker on them today, what a bargin!!!
  • the best deal i saw but didnt need was media robosapian at marks and spencers for £120 usually about 200. still woulnt pay that amount for a batterie hungry piece of plastic.
All shops seemed to have pretty poor discounts or discounts on only a few item which were overpriced in the first place or so naff you woulnt give them your mother in law for next xmas.
shopping online gives better deals, is more comfortable and maybe more enjoyable, just shop ahead and get them when cheap throughout the year. bought a nice dab radio online for £15 inc postage, i saw 1 today really cheap looking for £20. it also cost me £3.50 parking, 1 hours driving and maybe £5 in petrol and a few grinding teeth moment with inconsiderate shoppers.
you wont be seeing me at the sale next year, but you'll see me here :-)
  • got a gorgeous kaliko dress from debenhams for £29.99 from £69.99, and a baby grow half price. Last of the big spenders me!

  • I bought 2 Gaggia Coffee/Cappucino machines and 1 Nespresso and 1 Krups coffee/cappucino maker. Whole lot came to 130 quid in the HOF sale and have a retail value of around 800. 2 for pressies and 2 going on ebay...

Therefore I love HoF. Next sale looked good - I only went for Homewear as I work for Monsoon and don't need the clothes with my discount. Worst sale for me was Debenhams - I got there at 8am on Boxing Day and bought naff all. Bit dissapointed with Boots - couldn't find Ghost for Man in the sale...
  • wow theres going to be a lot of coffee makers on ebay ;)

  • The Next sale! :-)

Every Jan I get up early, buy very good quality work shirts for £12 each, and a few jumpers. Spent £80 on £190 worth of gear, and will not buy many more clothes all year.

M&S sale, on the web site lots of nice things very cheap, in store not much on sale was reduced!, Mensware anyway. :-(
    Harry Potter, Computer Wizard.

  • Manchester Arndale was crazy busy today. I wasn't after anything in particular, but got a skirt reduced from £10 to £2 and a dress for £5 (was £10) from Primark, and two pairs of shoes for £39 (should have been £85) from Oasis. Wasn't impressed by River Island, Debenhams, Top Shop or Next.

I think that perhaps m+s haven't labelled everything that is in the sale.. I have had this experience in the past and it has annoyed me because by the time they have sale tickets on my size has gone!! how can people buy things and KNOW theyre sale with no ticket LOL ???

Everyone I saw today had big bags from debenhams and m+s but most are in agreeance that they were rubbish. Perhaps its for those that like the finer things but not for us that say a pair of trousers is a pair of trousers stuff the jasper conran label ;)
