What's your biggest bargain today

Options
Being money savers I think it's fairly evident most of us are out in the sales today, some of us since bright and early, some of us just relaxing in our pyjamas online. Shopping is what us money savers do best (im sure something's not right..;) )

SO.. What has been your biggest sale bargain today! I would love to know and it may also give us an idea of what's available in the shops to save us trawling for nothing.

Can you tell me:
1) The price, Item, and place of purchase
2) The biggest waste of time sale you've visited today

I'm so intrigued :)

Thanks
Mel :A

    Quite agree.

Most of the sales are only trying to get rid of the old tat nobody wants.

They try and tempt you with a good looking bargain, which will be sold out by the time the store opens, and then you end up buying something you did not even want.
  • LOL you party poopers ;) Good.. well... EXCELLENT points though
I'm banning myself from going out and waiting at least until the kids are all gone to school before I start shopping.

I could quite believe the PC World sale is a waste of time but debenhams too? Thank god I didn't get up early for that!!

Not strictly today, but i bought a £600 limited edition ballpoint pen http://www.filofaxusa.com/topaz.html a week or so before xmas from Beatties (now part of House of Franser grp.). In all the confusion i caused there (:D ) they reduced it by 70% for me, to potentionally a lucrative £240. 10% less using their storecard brings it to 220. eBay, here i come....

    On a more recent note:
    - Church's shoes on Regent Street have a (real) reduction of 30% on smart office shoes.
    - eBuyer on the other hand has sod all. Own brand tat mostly.
    - HMV has the James Bond ultimate edition box set for £100 (before £5 off voucher and 7.5% quidco). Not as good as amazon which -had- it for ~£75 on individual DVD bogof. Create many many many accounts at HMV and get £5 off each accounts £35 purchase, and the 7.5%. 20% off sale prices that way.
