Jannyannie, I get my patterns from Jaycotts, they often seem to have special offers on & the service is fantastic. I have some farbic calling to me now, but I must vacuum downstairs & sort out my floordrobe before I start sewing.
    Hugs Hester

Have had a very successful morning so far!

Went to water my friends garden but luckily the hanging baskets were OK and the rest of the garden was sodden still. I took loads of photos and emailed to my friends as they spend a great deal of time and energy making the garden lovely and are now away and not getting the benefits.

At Waitrose there was loads of organic baby stuff reduced from £7.00 to £0.49  so I got some tree tea oil and some badger sleep balms and one calendula balm too. I'm chuffed with that lot as I use the sleep balms a lot whenever my brain is whizzing around my skull keeping me awake. The calendual balm is good for my facial skin as I am prone to psoriasis which breaks out every so often and is painful. Got some reduced raspberries too.

Then went to Costco :o but only bought cheese and a book. I'm so pleased to say that I avoided the Belgian chocolate shortbread squares - twice!

After that I did the clothes returns. Best bit was I took a brooch, that a friend made for me, into a local silversmith to have an adjustment made and the lovely lovely man did it for free. It only needed a bit chopped off the stalk and the end sharpened but it was really nice that the silversmith didn't charge - there are nice people out there still.

Flutterbyuk - the only T-shirts with a long enough body are the old fashioned type and it's really annoying.

OK - soup to make (got the carrots and the WP is out and ready) and got the mince for the meat sauce. Washing machine has finished and clothes hung up.

Productive morning so keep those fingers crossed I can keep it up.

Sorry to hear of others' woes and I send out good vibes to everyone, hope they reach.

    Morning all,

Slept forever last night, I am just so exhausted right now. OH is in a foul mood and BIL didn't come home again last night, boy is playing a dangerous game.

Got a wash on, waiting for the water to heat up so i can have a long soak in the tub, i thought about doing some baking as we have lots of surplus eggs, chocolate, flour, sugar, but am lacking butter. Any ideas for what i can make?

Dinner is marinated chicken drumsticks with chips and rice for OH (don't know why he always needs both!) i really fancy mashed potato so might just make a huge pot of that and maybe some sausages.

Hugs to all who need them.

    Have a lovely day all

    .

I am very long in the body too, 5ft 11, I find it really difficult to find t-shirts or jumpers long enough in the body or arms, Evans ones are really good, and I recently got some t-shirts in primark which are really long, I have found that mens jumpers / cardigans are made much longer, new look for men have a good range. Also check out Ebay for Long Tall Sally items.

Hugs to Lou, you take it easy my darling xx

    Hi everyone:D
Woke up to a text from my SIL saying her Dad had died at home this morn.He was diagnosed with luing cancer 9 months ago, so has gone quite quickly and peacefully:(:(We're just worried how the little ones will take it, as they now have no Grandad, as my Dad also died 2.5 years ago:(
Anyway other news is we're now almost finished with decorating.OH has put the light fittings up now, so just the kitchen to gloss, then our room to decorate but that can wait for now;)
We're off to the pub at tea time to watch rugby:j:j:j
Congrats JG, and good luck to Miss RR, and (((huggles))) to all those in need :A

    Afternoon all

Just having a break with the laptop and a cuppa.

CANDYGIRL sorry to hear your sad news.

Have been to Lidl and managed to spend £5 on a large doormat for my porch, some shorts, nightshirt and hoodie for me. Also filled up with petrol at Sainsburys and used my money off coupon. Managed to find some more cherries at the farm shop and stocked up on veg. Weather on and off here. Have managed to mow the lawns and the washing has been in and out. Just about to hang it out again ;).

Hester thanks for the tip on patterns, will have a look.
Off to see what DS wants to do, think he wants to go to the park. Then will start prepping the hall. catch you soon

    Afternoon all,

Really being spoilt to-day, went to pick DS2 up at airport for 11.30 and he bought OH and I brunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary (41 years to-morrow!). Am going to brothers this evening for dinner, haven't seen him for a month and he lives 2 mins down the road!

Warm to-day here, not very sunny but have put out 2 washes just in case it stays dry. Got rid of some stuff into bags for CS and have bagged suitcases and put them under the bed in one of the spare rooms, they don't get dusty that way.

Welcome newbies, names elude me that seems to happen more and more lately, hugs to all in need or want of one and congratulations to all who are celebrating

We are just over 3 weeks from our 37th anniversary - doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself?:)
Hope you have a fantastic celebration x

    Evening all

I've had a lovely day. At the spa I had a fish pedicure and then a body massage, blissful :D, however it was slightly freaky cos it's the smallest spa in the world (3 customers max at a time) and my big boss was the 3rd customer! :rotfl:. Luckily she is really nice and we had a quick chat before our treatments. Small world! After the spa we went to Chiquitos for lunch (with a voucher of course!).

Then we went shopping, my credit card certainly took a bashing :o :rotfl: but it was fun. Got new jeans, pjs, sunglasses, top all from Primark for £22, some new bits for my new flat, a present for a friend's birthday, a bow shaped necklace. Everything was cheap or sale so I didn't actually spend that much!

Going to have a quiet night in tonight, rather tired now!
