    Morning my lovelies :D

Gotta be mega quick as I have stuff to do this morning and yet another childrens party!!!

Got to dig out the bloomin' washing line so we can put up the gazebo for DD's birthday party next week <sigh> can't get the ruddy thing out of the hole anymore so I suspect we are going to have to buy a new one as I could really do with being able to take it in and out.

Happy birthday to sammr85's DD, hope she has a great day.

OK have got to go. Will check back later.

Hugs and spoons all round for those that need them.

    Morning all,

Bright and sunny here, lets hope it stays that way, as I had planned BBQ for dinner today and tomorrow, we keep sitting indoors at the weekend thinking I wish we has BBQ'd so I ordered bits for this weekend and hoped for the weather :D dd's best friend is comming over for a sleepover, they are both veggies, so I have some quorn steaks for them, we have chicken, sausages and burgers, with salad and new potatoes.

WM is doing its thing, with first of two loads, will get both on the line, grass needs mowing over the weekend, but its too wet now, we had moe heave rain last night. Need to run the hoover round and have a general clean through.

DD and I went into topshop wednesday with a CV and application form, only to be told there was no job, anyhoo she got a call yesterday to ask her to go for an interview next Sat, for a saturday job :j, have also put 2 more application forms in to other places, so fingers crossed :D

Hugs to all those in need xx

Lovely day here on the Planet Thanet, we've had some rain over-night and everything is lovely and green.

TWINGLESTAR welcome and hugs for you and yours
BRAMBLE hope you have some good news today
LOU hope your're day is better, make sure someone looks after you and you get help if you need it
Big hugs to the JACKIES and anyone else who needs one

Set the alarm clock this morning as last weekend I slept until 11am and just sat around feeling sorry for myself. Got the news on at the moment, what with phone hacking and those poor people in Africa it's grim.

Have had my porridge with leftover cream on the top, had to fight little cat off as he was looking at it everytime I put it down !:D One load of washing is out and another one in. Plan today to potter over to my local Lidl who have a 50p sale on today, also need to go to the farm shop. Will bung some mince in the slow cooker to make lasagne later.

Really must start decorating my hall to this weekend and I need to mow the lawn if it stays dry. Have been looking at dress patterns online. I used to sew a lot, don't know if anyone knows of any good websites or shops to buy patterns, they always seem so expensive. Have a good fabric shop locally.

Must get on, have a good day all

    Welcome all newbies :)
Gers - I have same problem with tshirts/tops, I'm long bodied so they never fit right!
DG - thanks for offer other day re laptop, was going to PM you but one of the boys in work is an IT guru and has put some suggestions my way already

Looks to be another off/on weather day here!

Today I'm off to Cardiff for a bit of pampering and shopping. Me and my friend bought vouchers from Groupon for 15 min fish pedicure and 45 min body massage for just £12 :) It's the same spa we visited in Jan so we know it's lovely. After that we are going to have lunch and then hit the shops.

OS wise - had bit of disaster with BM today, put timer on for loaf to be ready this morning but when I went to take it out it hasn't formed properly <insert confused smiley>, not sure what went wrong, will need to try again tonight if I have enough ingredients. WM been on and will dry indoors on airer due to changeable weather. Dinner will probably be freezer surprise.

    Have a great day all

Provided they are well rinsed they should not hurt you, be the guinea pig and try yours and see if there is a taste. However, if they are almost ready for changing then I would swop them, and keep them for cleaning round little places. DG

Good Morning all, weather bright at the moment and I have just put a bit of washing out that I did last night as its blowing well.I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow as we are having a big family BBQ at my eldest DDs to celebrate my DGS 18th from last week and her OHs 45th next week.I am just about to start making my 5 dozen sausage rolls as my contribution.Half with herbs in and the other half with grated cheese on the top.I can guarantee ther won't be any left over as my 'bottomless pits' of 5 grandsons wolf them down as though they hadd't been fed for a month bless them.My youngest is making her chocolate drizzled cheesecake which is her speciality as her contribution.we all try to take something towards the 'do' as it every little helps .
Then this afternoon I am going to put my feet up and relax and watch some t.v. and do absolutely nothing for a change, just chill out with a large pot of tea and some fruit cake.
Loulou2010 I too would rinse them thouroughly and if there is no aftertaste I think they would be o.k. depends how diluted the bleach was .But they will be very clean and germ free if nothing else.but if your worried then replace them and tuck the old ones away for 'grotty jobs' where they can be binned when mucky.
Right I'm in need of some caffeine to get my motor going i think Have a great day everyone and do take care of yourselves, we are all precious to somebody
    Cheers JackieO xx

    ¡Hola!

:hello: Newbies Welcome - can I make a request to you all, could you at least put your county in the Location on your profile, or if you are not happy with that the general part of the UK you are in, when I am out here (Spain) it helps me keep up to date with what weather is where, and be grateful I am here.;)

    Kia Ora!

I left home last year and moved from Middlesex to New Zealand (Dad's a Kiwi). The climate is pretty similar to England, but southerly winds are freezing, and north facing windows are excellent. Also, because Wellington is right next to the sea, there is no snow here during winter. :( Last year it was bitterly cold and icy in June. I went from the British winter of 2009-2010 straight into the NZ summer, then autumn, then winter again. Most houses in NZ don't have central heating, and the consequences were readily apparent in a place I house sat for. The house was heated but my bedroom had three outside walls. The door to the bathroom was about 6 feet away from my bedroom door with a noticeable difference in temparature, so as you can imagine I'd have gladly stayed in the shower all day! :rotfl: Fortunately my current flat has sun all day, my bedroom has one outside wall, and we are currently having an unusually warm winter where most days it doesn't feel that cold at all. :D
