Refused mobile phone contract with tmobile

Hello,
Yesterday I attempted to order for a pay monthly contract phone with tmobile. I have just receive an email to say that there is a problem with my order and it has been rejected due to my credit status. I am very shocked by this, considering I have an excellent credit rating and have always paid my bills/loans and credit cards on time. Perhaps someone would be able to shed some light on this - there is someone living at this address who has had a contract phone with tmobile and various other phone companies, who has not paid there bills. This has happened recently. For this reason, do you think this could be the reason I have been rejected a contract? If they are checking the address as oppossed to my own personal history? Just a thought.

Did you have any luck in the end??? I have a contract with orange due to run out soon, so went through CPW to get a new pay monthly orange contract as wanted that phone and free gift. CPW turned me down due to orange refusing me from a credit check!! ( I have an 'excellent' credit rating) I checked with orange who denied that - told me my credit rating with them is fine - and to try CPW again. So rang them only to be refused again! So orange saying not them it's CPW. CPW saying it's orange refusing me!! Grrr. Don't know what to do??

Did Orange had to manually process your cpw order to pass the credit check? It happened to me once when i ordered a mobile through DAP on Orange....DAP said i failed credit check when i called orange they manually did the check and said they are happy with my credit thingy....but Orange were reluctant to pass that info back to DAP....
if its the same in your case, there was no way to get the contract with orange through a third party....

As you were an existing Orange customer you would have been rejected, but not if you were the using a different mobile network. I'd suggest taking out a contract simply for a gift and the ongoing commitment is an accident waiting to happen. As you will see from other posts, phone contracts are causing misery to many

Hi. The same thing has just happened to me. I ordered a TMOBILE contract through a Carphone Warehouse company and was declined at the credit check. I had just disconnected from TMOBILE about 2 months previously and moved my number away to THREE so that I could move it back on the new deal.

I have a good credit rating too. I wrote to TMOBILE credit department who wrote back saying they use Equifax and that they would overturn my decision. It said to go to a high street store or ring an 0845 number with an agreement number from the letter.

So I tried ordering again through the Carphone place and again was declined this morning. I have checked my £2 Equifax report online and there are no credit checks done on me.

I am now at a loss and wonder if the retailer is declining this and blaming TMOBILE. I don't want to go direct through TMOBILE as their deals are not as good. I may fax another letter to their credit team and ask what is going on.

Can you let me know how you get on too|?

T-Mobile did this to me despite me having an 'EXCELLENT' credit rating so I complained and have just received a £40 compensation/apology cheque. I have since taken out a new 3Mobile contract so they have lots in all possible ways.

T-Mobiles credit department were not even competent enough to answer a direct question so they are a wast of time.
