Does anyone know of a cheap car park within a 5-10 minute walk of the Pleasure Beach?0

After driving about for a while I ended up going to the church street car park. It cost £4 for 10 hours which is obviously not as good as free but is better than the £8 that some car parks were charging.Have agreat time in blackpool. You can park for free up near the Wintergardens on a Sunday also.
I set off as soon as I finished typing my last post so I missed out on your last 2 suggestions but I will be keeping them in mind for when I go next time.
(Had a nice time there although it p*ssed down on the way past Preston but it wasa false alarm as it was fine and sunny at Blackpool all day)0 -
Wish I had read this before I went to Blackpool for the day today!
It now costs £9 in the big central car park near Coral Island/Bonny Street Market/Tower for 8 hours! They have conveniently forgotten to make a price for 6 hours so you have to pay for 4 hours (not usually long enough) or 8 hours (a bit too long sometimes so the car parks get money for nothing).
I wouldn't mind if it was a decent car park perhaps with some security but it is a mish mash of lots of little car parks with confusing entries and exits.
Will look out for the cheaper ones listed next time, thanks.0 -
This is what got on my nerves which is why I asked about cheaper parking in the first place. They are really hoping people are forced into paying for 8 hours. I did not see any free parking but am pretty sure you could find somewhere eventually.Liquorice_Twirls wrote: »Wish I had read this before I went to Blackpool for the day today!

Hi all, I am from Blackpool and used to live right in by the North Promenade - very noisy in peak season as you can imagine, but also fun. If you are a day-tripper to Blackpool I agree about finding some street parking as I too out of principle hate to pay for... well most things, especially parking.
Find a secure car park if you are staying over night or you may get keyed by a drunken fool.0
