Orange/T-Mobile Signal Issues
Maybe its just me but since agreeing to roam from Orange onto the T-Mobile signal I've had lots of dropped calls and calls going to the answering machine when I have a full signal.
I spoke to Orange about this and they have turned off the roaming onto T-Mobile and my signal etc has improved greatly.
Its obvious that if your with Orange or T-Mobile and your phone logs onto the other sister network the call doesn't automatically transfer over as well and as a result the call stops.
Hopefully this will get ironed out soon to make it more streamline.

They haven't merged their networks yet so it can't switch networks in the middle of a call. As far as I know the phone decides which network to use when it is switched on and then stays with that network unless the signal is lost. Maybe you were just in an area with a rather weak T-Mobile signal.0

I've been with Orange for many years and happy with the signal in my area. My contract is now up and the best deals for the phone I want are with T mobile. I thought this would give me the same sort of service am I wrong to think that?0

Spoke to Orange Customer Services who have sorted it all out for me, like you say the 2 networks have not merged there masts yet so if your on the phone and lose the Orange signal it won't pass it over to the T-Mobile network without the call dropping, which is a pain in the bum!!!
Anyway, Orange have disabled my sim card from looking for the T Mobile network and things seem to have gradually got a lot better staying with just the Orange network.0 -
