We have been to Goa 12 times....first time 1993. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else though. Its very much an acquired taste IMO. To anyone thinking of going I would suggest doing a lot of research before deciding. Many people (me and hubby included) love it but many try it once and hate it. I have met people who have been horrified and cant wait to go home.
We have also met people who thought it would like the Caribbean... white sand, turquoise seas etc, they were very disappointed. It is not remotely like any Caribbean island we have ever been to. There is no comparison. I love the Caribbean but...... Goa is one of the few places we have been to more than once. We prefer it to anywhere on earth. There is something magical about it, it draws you back again and again. I dont know why because a lot of it is scruffy, lots of people get ill, you can get malaria and some of the toilets are not for the faint hearted. I cant wait to go back.... now where is that brochure? :j
We have also travelled to other parts of India from Goa. Its an amazing country.

    Yep, that sounds about right
  • well its good news for me..

posted our visa applications last week (saturday) and royal mail delivered thursday.
what a super fast turnaround, well pleased, and visa details look fine
  • I know quite a few people who already have their visa for the coming season - all with very fast turn round although it is early yet. Hope it stays the same nearer to the holiday season and not so many hassles as last year.
