This 2 month rule is a nightmare.
I've applied for numerous Indian visas, even before the process was outsourced to VFS Global and luckily never had any problems.
But many people have.
From what I understand from HT & TA, if you are Irish but live in England you need to provide additional documentation.
If you are a member of the Armed Forces, Police or a journalist you need to provide additional documentation.
If you're taking children (even your own with both parents travelling!) you need to provide additional documentation.
They move the goalposts with little or no notice.
They introduced the '2 month rule' (if you leave India you can't come back in for 2 months) almost overnight leaving people who spend the whole season in Goa (November to April) but like to pop home at Christmas with flights booked but unusable.
I do understand your problem, Soil.0 -

it asks for 2x 50x50mm (5cm Squared) passport style photographs, anyone know what companies do these cheap, just been recommended snappy snap but they charge £14.99 a set and its an hours drive 2 visas at £42 plus £6 special delivery envelope, and then another £15 for pictures,

Don't forget to print & sign the Declaration Form too.
Make sure your signature on the forms are as near identical as the signature on your passport.
This is just one of the reasons applications get rejected.whatyadoinsucka wrote: »what a joke tax
How much do you think an Indian has to pay for a visa to visit the UK?
A clue:
more than you'll pay for your Indian visa.0 -

You need a prepaid Special Delivery envelope for VFS to return your documents plus one to send your application in.
And don't forget to make a note of the reference numbers of the SDEs so you can check they've been delivered and are on their way back to you.0 -
Goa is a lovely place. Although I would recommend taking a trip to to Kerala and checking out the backwaters, they're amazing and you can rent a house boat for 24 hours. And if you're landing in Mumbai spend a day or two there taking in the sights, shopping and night-life. I didn't have any problems with my visa...0

No one has mentioned the two area's of Goa that are so different, the north I would call the Blackpool of Goa with the hustle and bustle while the south is much more relaxed and calmer.0

No, that's why I advised the OP to do his own research to:- decide if Goa is the right place for him
- decide which area and resort would suit him if he decides that it is
Both Tripadvisor and Holidaytruths have very busy Goa discussion forums and that's probably a good place to start.0
