Help please Blackberry

Hi hope someone can help, bought daughter a Blackberry curve 9800 for christmas (PAYG) today her screen has just gone blank :eek:
can't see a thing on the screen, if i ring her it's fine but that's all she can do with it :mad: will it still be under guarantee? if i take it back to Phones 4 u tomorrow will they repair it???

    It should be under warranty for a year from date of purchase....
