Just to warn you that your latest post asking about being a carer for your Dad comes across as being more interested in how much you can get out of him than a genuine desire to look after your dad's interests. If this is not the case, you may wish to either edit your post, or start a new thread on the benefits board as your latest post does nothing to dispel the idea that money is your primary motivator when it comes to your father's care and you may find some harsh comments coming your way.

What do you care most about? Your father's health and wellbeing in his final days or your own finances?

Frankly, you sound grasping and calculating and you should consider your priorities... your father is still alive and you should want the best for him and worry about the rest later.

This is not a game of chess where you need to move all of your pieces into place, this is real life - and your father should be your most important consideration!

Hmm, BUT you need to understand that your father is NOT your meal ticket!

He is a person who deserves respect in his final years.

Are you capable of caring for him? Is your motive love or money?

There are strict regulations governing what someone with Power of Attorney or Executorship can and cannot do, whilst you may not be able to stop your sister the law has powers to freeze her assets and prosecute. Depends how far you want to take it with the police really, please understand no action can be taken until your sister has actually broken the law. Being autistic is it possible you have taken something she said a little too literally, perhaps she made a joke in poor taste? To be honest tho at this stage this is your father's money and should be being spent on his comfort and wellbeing even if that only leaves enough to pay for his funeral.

If you intend to live with your father it would make more sense for you to hold the Power of Attorney. Are you sure you want to take on the extra stress of caring if you may have obsessive or compulsive traits? Stress is a massive trigger for OCD, you could end up being totally unable to care for either of you. :( Please get yourself properly diagnosed, there are medications or techniques that can be used to control the negative feelings.

And maybe you need to understand a little more about autistic thinking? :o

So why no threads started about caring for your father?

Why are all your threads about you and how to get money from your father or the state?

Edited to add: have a read of all previous posts from the OP and then you will see what I mean. The OP has had his father buy him a mobile home, pay for various bits and pieces yet he still calls his sister an "evil witch" for taking money.

Perhaps because this is MoneySavingExpert and this is the Moneysaving in Marriages, Relationships and Families board? Which part of autism, black and white thinking and taking things literally do you not understand? :wall: A preoccupation with maths/ numbers/ money/ electronics/ rules/ routine and difficulty with small talk, empathetic thinking and change is quite 'normal' for those on the autistic spectrum. Please do some research, autism is a hell of a thing to get your head around if you have not witnessed it first hand.
