I agree, did the same for a short while on a new laptop, while out and about.

Bought a 3 dongle and 3GB SIM card (for up to 3 months surfing) from Three, but then bought a new SIM from Amazon, which was far cheaper, such as here (50% cheaper than Three site)

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mobile-Broadband-Preloaded-Dongles-Unlocked/dp/B004O73WXM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1310152929&sr=8-4

    Good luck !

Do they come with connection details so you can use them in a laptop, where a wwan card is built in (ie no need for a dongle), but you need to manually enter the o2 details so it can connect?
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Thank you for your help - much appreciated.

My daughter has learning difficulties which is why I'm doing this on her behalf....otherwise I'd be making her research it herself :D

I'll have a better look tomorrow - moving her into her new flat today has been exhausting and I've been looking at dongles for so long I think I'm going to be counting them in bed soon...

I really appreciate your help :)

I wouldn't stress to much over it. If you are confident that 3 has good coverage in the area, the single network modem may be ample.
Personally, I would go for the unlocked modem as it gives me more options. But as it involves a little more fiddling around, you have to decide as to whether you are up to it.
It will involve following relatively simple instruction as to how to enter the connection details manually.
Of course if you were to use the O2 SIM there would be no need to enter any extra details.
But the O2 SIMs have a lesser 3G data allowance as compared to the separate SIM available on Amazon. But they have Unlimited WiFi from available Hotspots. So take a look at O2's HotSpot Finder. Pop your daughter's postcode in to see if any of the locations may be of use to her.

The data SIM in the O2 package is likely expired, so you'll need to give O2 a call once you receive it in order for them to send you a new one.
