PayPal update

I've just received an email from PayPal, notifying of updates to their T&Cs.

I'd just like to check my understanding of the fees section (#9).

Currently when I buy something, I pay via paypal using my credit card; I've never linked my bank account. There has historically been no additional charge for using a credit or debit card.

My reading of the fees section - domestic transactions - is that a fee of 3.4% plus 20p will be charged to me.

Am I right or have I misunderstood?

Thanks (and hope I've posted this on the right board).

I've nothing to add to the (impending) discussion, but I imagine some of the regulars on the ebay section will be a good source of information as well:

My understanding is that since this is listed under Personal Transactions, it applies only if you're sending money via paypal to friends and the likes but doesn't apply to purchases paid for via a Paypal checkout link. If you look at the next section, Commercial Transactions, it says: "Sending (buying): Free (when no currency transaction is involved)"

Yep, it doesn't apply to buying goods.
