me and some other housemates (we're students) went into private accomodation and set up the internet and phone line with NTL. This is what we had:
4mb Internet - £24.99
Phone line plus unlimited calls off peak times 11 + 5.50 = £16.50
total = £41.49 / month
but we got a special package - for 34.99 saving us 6.50 each month.
anyway, ntl rang one of our housemates and offered digital tv for £1 month extra, so we decided, great offer. got it installed and now were being charged £5.50 more! we rang up to ask why and they claim that they didnt do that offer.
it is now costing us £40.49 / month. we don't get speeds of 4mb internet and we feel scammed on the tv offer. what shall we do about this? i read up on the calling ntl and threatening them etc stuff every 3 months, but we've only been a customer since july 2006. is it still worth ringing them up and what is the number? what shall we say to get the discount and will we be able to get a refund for the tv? thanks for reading this all and thanks to anyone who helps us.
