Is Plusnet any good?

I currently have a Virgin package for a landline, broadband and TV but cannot afford to keep them any longer. I am thinking of going to Plusnet for the phone and broadband and getting a Freeview+. It should save me roughly £20 per month. I would appreciate any comments from Plusnet customers.

I changed to plusnet approx 2 months ago. I used to be with Talk Talk who were horrendous.
Very impressed so far, good value for money (60Gb broadband plus anytime calls incl 0845) costs me £28 per month. I used to pay £40 per month.
I like the features with plusnet, being able to go online and check your broadband useage (very useful with a 13yr old who spends hours on his pc... lol) and you can check your recent calls online as well.
Not had any probs since I swapped and the transfer was easy.0 -
If you are on VM cable service, you cannot switch to any ADSL provider without getting a BT landline installed. That will cost you up to £130 depending on the provider. No free lunch, and no free laptop

If your transferring from cable a new line with plusnet will cost £49.99.
They will also arrange to port your cable number if possible.

Been with Plusnet for just over a year here, and very happy. Only had two problems a)couldn't get it set up with my old modem and b)I didn't set up my email to begin with. But they a)helped me set up a much newer (and wireless) modem, and b)they helped me set up my email online.
Also they just recently brought down my Broadband price because my exchange changed to Market 3.0 -
Thanks for all your replies, I had a BT landline prior to Virgin and still have the box on the wall, will this help with the connection to Plusnet?0

Openreach treat a new physical line install and a reconnection as the same thing-and charge the same price. No free lunch, and no free laptop
