Get an Acer from Tesco!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I just noticed the HPDV2188ea works out more than £200 cheaper than the Johnlewis website.. looks like its one up from the DV2175EA Dixons Grp are selling..
That £697 instead of £899.. i'd say thats a bargain if ur in the market for a compact but high spec notebook..
Need a link.?0 -

I think the 'doorbuster' was the antique-spec laptop and it's cousin the creaky PC with a CRT monitor!!
They had piles of HD TVs, printers and cameras 'in readiness' on Xmas eve when we went in last, but I can't see any obvious deals online!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Well, I'm just back after getting up and queuing for the laptop- five of us were there by 7 (I was sad and there by 6!)and they brought us out coffee and tea, let us wait in the lobby and then once store sales staff were there allocated us the laptops and I was back home by 8.30! I'm now typing this upon the new laptop - it's perfectly fine for just browsing and email, which is all I wanted it for. I used to use an ancient compaq and this is blistering in comparison!Regards

correct - WORST PCWorld sale ever. I got there at 8:50 and there was a 200 person long queue, including some who had been there since 5:30am
They had NO "manager clearance" table (at Hove) which is typically where the only real bargains are.
To save a wasted journey I bought a 1GB pen drive for an amazing £12.99 (about £3 more than I could have got it online but my other one broke a few days back soi've paid 30% more "for conveniance" .... PCWorld would have me beleive that I got it for half-price!!!)0 -
Most of the clearance tables/corners were removed before Xmas.0
