Drop Kerb Granted in Cul de Sac

Perhaps that is why they have had it installed so they can park on their property? I don't see what your problem is really, why not have one installed then you can do the same?0

As for 'where' how relevant is that?0 -
Just wondering why being able bodied is relevant? Isn't the dropped kerb so the neighbour can access and park on the drive/land in front of her house which seems like a perfectly reasonable request to me.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Dear Orford - truly thanks (and not said sarcastically, promise). But I'd never make a fuss if the dropped kerb was in the area shown in the map. It's in fact in a very tight area of the cul de sac - which that map does not actually show clearly. Cheers Euphrosene0 -
The dropped kerb takes away one parking space, correct? The neighbour parking her car on her land rather than on the road removes one car with a need to park on the road. Doesn't it just equal out?
I think there must be more to this.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Answering all re why shouldn't they: for the reasons given before. It removes not one but almost two parking spaces. hence presumably the other complaints.
It would be possible for the resident to park on their hardstanding by entering via the garage entrance instead - still leaving the other spaces free. And keeping neighbourly harmony (which we all enjoyed till recently).0 -
On my mum's road, (a cul-de-sac also) the council designated a turning area - 3 cars wide.
3 cars are parked in it almost permanently, all associated with the same house, making turning nigh-on impossible.
At least with a dropped kerb there's somewhere to turn
Outside MY house right now there is a blimming flat bed/pick up truck (property of Champion Hire). The employee, who appears to have exclusive use of this vehicle thus enabling him to keep his own, new, car permanently in his garage, doesn't have roadside frontage to his house so parks outside mine. And goes to work at 6:30. When I'm still in bed. I'm NOT asleep though, because of HIM.

You mean here somewhere?
As per earlier post, ALL those street maps were taken in about 2008/2009.
There are very few days when there are less than six or more large cars during the day - and a very big Volvo to the right of that green car. Plus three times that many in the evenings and weekends.
So that information is hugely out of date.
As for being her land, the road is not her land. It is communal property which we all have rights to.
However, it would no longer be the case if it forms part of her drive.
Thanks again for all your input. I shall wait for feedback from the Highways people.
Have a good weekend.0
