It has a flue from when the gas fire was taken away.
I have loads of logs from trees i've had chopped down and it seems an awful waste to dump them.
Any thoughts or special considerations.

The flue requirements can vary a lot depending on the installed model and power output, check about that with your local dealer, anyway generally flue for solid fuel stoves are larger and taller than those for gas stoves so it will probably need replament. Also put into account to install (if it's not in place already) a heat shieding material layer both at the feet and behind the stove. You can find them at a local dealer as well. For the rest you should have no trouble at all.0

Thankyou very much for your help.
I've seen wood burners on narrowboats so thought there must be a way to do it.:beer:0 -
A gas flue will be like have a flue made out of paper for a woodburner! You can do it but you will need some expensive flue material to ensure its safe. Lot of safety points to consider - carbon monoxide being just one.
