Mexican pesos

Hi All,
Hoping someone can give advice please.
We're off to Cancun in a couple of weeks and I need to get some pesos. I've looked at the currency exchange part of this forum to find where I can get the best deal here before going but another forum I use has suggested using the cash machine at Cancun airport to withdraw pesos there.
I've advised my bank that I will be in Mexico so no worries about my card being barred (hopefully!) but I'm still unsure if this is the right way to go.
What would anyone who has been recently recommend? To add, I only want to get around £100 of pesos as it's for tipping and little gifts, so might up it to £150 (I also have low denomination US$ left from a trip to NY earlier this year that I can use.)
Exchange rate here is about 17 pesos to the pound, varies by very small amounts, but I don't know what the rate will be in Mexico - for instance the cost to withdraw cash over there might mean it's better to get it here....
Help would be really appreciated thanks.
