Thanks OP, I fell asleep lol missed the start of the sale and sooo missed out on a coat I wanted... nevermind wasn't meant to be clearly!

Managed to get myself a load of stuff I probably won't need

If you buy something using M&S gift vouchers and then you decide to return the item, do they refund a gift voucher or cash?

And, if you bought something with an excess value using their gift vouchers and paid the remainder of the amount on a credit/debit card, how would they then refund if you returned the item?

If you have the receipt you will get back the amount you paid on the receipt. You will also get back a refund in the same way you paid, if you paid gift vouchers and credit/debit card you will get a refund in gift vouchers and credit/debit card. You only get the current selling price in credit vouchers if you have no receipt.

If you REALLY want the coat you could always fax the major stores - which I've done in the past - and they'll happily post it out to you for the standard £3.50

You can get the fax numbers from the stores directory here - http://www2.marksandspencer.com/thecompany/our_stores/index.shtml

I'd recommend you go for the big stores

Failing that you could always email - [EMAIL="%20customer.care@marks-and-spencer.com"]customer.care@marks-and-spencer.com[/EMAIL] and try and blag them into ordering one for you

Cheers for that. I've just checked and my local store opens at 8am! I thought it would open at 10 and then I'd get a lie in. Never mind!
