Are you going to the sales with no money?

  • Yes I will, I've been looking forward to it. I've lost 4.5 stone and gone from a 18/20 to a 10/12. I've bought a few new clothes but have been waiting for the sales to pick up some nice bits partly because with Xmas haven't had the time to spare clothes shopping.

Shouldn't cost me too much though as when I was bigger there always seemed to be lots of bargains in smaller sizes!

Need to get a job this year too (housewife for 10 years) so need a few interview/work clothes too.

Dare say we may be tempted by other bargains too but was not in debt before Xmas although may be stretched for a month or two after.

Wow, well done on your weight loss- that's amazing. Enjoy shopping!

I have some cash so i'll be hitting the sales. Going to be sensible and not go until i get paid on the 29th though. Although the things that i want, often don't get reduced in the sales, fingers crossed that won't be the case this year.

If i didn't have the money then i wouldn't go, sometimes you can just get caught up in the madness.

I will be avoiding the 'Sales' like the plague.
I have no spare cash and can't honestly think of anything that I desperately need.
The only thing I WILL be doing is putting a couple of packs of Reduced Christmas cards into the basket when we do the Tesco run - might even buy a Christmas Pudding for next year - the one we ate yesterday was purchased in January for half-price (use-by date was Feb 2007) - it was excellent.

There's a thread about this in the 'techie stuff' board. The spec is not very good, and there are only 10 per store.
I have no spare money and will not be going shopping for the forseeable future - but it's OK because I want for nothing! I did pick up a few items in the Next Directory sale though....

We were going to go out to look/maybe buy me a coat tomorrow. However I have decided A) I can't afford it and B) It's dangerous to 'look'. So, we are not going to 'look' at any sales. We will go out for a walk then have lunch out at Pizza Hut or McDonalds. Well it's cheap and it will have to do at the moment and kids like it!

  • Since I discovered Ebay.com the Sales have lost their attraction for me. I love a bargain.

Just before Christmas I bought a brand new, long leather and suede coat on ebay.com, the USA version, for £35 including shipping by air! You can't beat that here, even in the Sales.

In September I cut up ALL of my credit cards. I now have a prepaid Mastercard, which I can use online or whatever. I find it far easier to use and no interest charges!

Sales do tend to encourage you to buy things that you don't want/need.
