Are you going to the sales with no money?

Are you going to the sales this year even if you don't have the cash for your purchases or has MSE taught you to budget and wait till you can pay cash?

Nope, there's nothing I need (lots that I want but that's a different story) and I start maternity leave at the end of January so I'm going to need every penny I can get. If there was something I desperately needed though I'd rather get it in the sales than wait a couple of months and pay double the price.

    ..........in a word...yes!

I've never been sale shopping before, because the crowds have always put me off, however this year I've decided that I will, simply because I know I have to buy certain things within the first few months (birthdays etc)....hence I am making the most of the bargains.

I have a loan, that needs paying off, so really I don't have any spare cash as such, but I think this is the more sensible option.
  • Nope! Not unless I get vouchers for Christmas.

    I'm staying well away....

That one's a real smack in the teeth for anyone who's bought a laptop for Christmas!

Might have a quick look at the sales but since finding this board I've deleloped a serious aversion to spending money.:D

Noooooo I can't think of anything worse that queues, crowds and tat reduced but still tat, I will not be anywhere near any shops for at least a couple of weeks ( might need to buy bread and milk but that's all).

  • Yes I will, I've been looking forward to it. I've lost 4.5 stone and gone from a 18/20 to a 10/12. I've bought a few new clothes but have been waiting for the sales to pick up some nice bits partly because with Xmas haven't had the time to spare clothes shopping.

Shouldn't cost me too much though as when I was bigger there always seemed to be lots of bargains in smaller sizes!

Need to get a job this year too (housewife for 10 years) so need a few interview/work clothes too.

Dare say we may be tempted by other bargains too but was not in debt before Xmas although may be stretched for a month or two after.
