are you prepared to wipe it, if so, try pressing f12 at boot with the recovery disc in.

if you need any data from it, don't use the recovery disc, post more info of os, what comes on screen, how it started

Did you choose Disable automatic restart on system failure from the Advanced Boot Options?

Before you do something drastic like formatting or reinstalling and loosing every thing, what model number is it and what operating system have you got on it, this info is required before I can even make a guess

Suggestions?? You didn't even answer the questions!

No chance to help someone if they don't give prompt feedback.

10 replies to the thread with people offering advice... which is pretty impressive seeing as nobody even tried to find out what was happening.

    what loop?
    what's actually happening?
did you actually put a recovery CD in?
can you give any information that's actually useful?

no offence to the OP, but before anybody can help you we'd need to know what's actually happening, but nobody asked...... just offered suggestions.

is that a different post 4 to the one on this thread?

The only thing that was asked on post 4 was
    what comes on screen

which is different to asking what's actually happening
