Im sure this has been asked before, but how do I go about unlocking an iphone?
I've bought a 2nd hand iphone 3g its on o2. I am currently with tesco payg. can I unlock the iphone to use my current sim for calls text etc and then giffgaff for internet?
Thanks in advance

Hi
Thanks I have seen this but it asks for the mobile number, the old owner has taken her sim from the phone and is continuing to use it. So if I put in her number it will affect her sim??0 -

you can put old owners number on unlock form however you will need them to tell you when they get confirmation from o2 so you can plug it in to itunes to complete unlock,it will not affect the previous owners contract/number.
alternatively you can go down the jailbreak and unlock route or use one of these

why not just use giffgaff for calls and data and port your existing number rather than trying to use tesco for calls and giffgaff for internet?0 -
