I know that my local PO has this service. OP could post the ps3 game again , but this time send it to the buyers local post office and then the buyer could pick it up from there at a time which suits him or he could have some one else collect it for him.
This means that every one would be happy.
its £1.50 and can only be done after delivery has been attempted
(well not always but in this scenario)0 -
This buyer seems a bit on the unreliable side, what with the late payment and late communications.
I would not rely on a certificate of postage. You can find when doing a Royal Mail claim that the buyer does not respond to a letter Royal Mail sometimes sends them. Royal Mail won't pay compensation when this happens.0 -
It sounds as though you changed the postal service after they bought to RD. It could be that they wouldn't have bought it had they known that was how you were sending it. I won't buy anything recorded delivery unless I particularly want it & can't get it from anyone else.
I wouldn't have been happy with the buyer taking so long to pay but I would have opened an NPB.
You'll have lost your seller protection I think as it now won't have been posted within 7 days of payment, as I'm assuming that Paypal will take the new postage date.
If you don't want to send by ordinary post then you may have to ask if they would accept a cancellation. Or post it & if they claim INR then you would have to claim from RM.0 -

Seems like a good idea to me.
only? on a sub £25 sale having already paid postage
I wouldnt say its only0 -
I would only send it again recorded, and ayt buyers expense.
They might not be a scammer, but under ebay rules it is the only way to ensure protection as a seller.
If it is so hard for the buyer to get to the PO or get someone else to go for them, then they should not have bought it in the first place.0 -

You can't force the buyer to re pay though and recorded is only held for 7 days so if buyer works a very long 5 1/2 days a week like my son they don't stand a chance of getting it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think that any seller protection has now gone, as you must post within 7 days of payment this COP will show a date after the 7 days.0 -

But surely the buyer would be the one responsible for paying the return postage costs any way , I mean it isnt the sellers fault that the buyer didnt go to the sorting office to collect their parcel?
I had to laugh at your response to be honest...you would think I had said that that the cost of posting to a local post office was like a million quid or something:rotfl:The loopy one has gone :j0 -

Im glad you are laughing
£1.50 is quite a margin from a £25 sale
you know selling,to make money
you are assuming the buyer will be paying for return postage0
