So Tesco was prepared to support the NOTW. Well I will not be using Tesco again. What a PR disaster to make such an announcement, only to find the the low-life have scuppered the ship.

i cant see why people buy newspapers now anyway,,, you can find all the info on line, and you can save the planet and the trees by not buying them too..
they are only full of twollup..
if you are going to buy a paper, buy your local newspaper, as at least you are supporting local, and keeping local people in jobs...Work to live= not live to work0 -
the notw will just become the sun on Sunday, the web domain was registered on Tuesday. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Were they actually going to support the NoW, or is it that they were biding their time before making a decision? When was this support shown?
I don't know, & my feeling is that there are quite a few newspapers out there who deploy dirty tactics & personally I don't bother with them.
For what it's worth, Martin Lewis was going to continue to write for them as he stated in his blog yesterday...although I've just looked again & it seems he had something of a change of heart to-day.

There is all these reactions to the NOTW, but what about all those brassy celeb magazines? the Heat, Now, Look and etc? I don't know if they have or havn't done anything similar but in my own opinion, I'd find it hard to believe they were completely innocent of this sort of thing! And even without this, isn't tracking a person, celeb or not and placing images of them in every newsagents and supermarket (and later, doctors waiting room!) along the same lines? Abusive, intrusive and just plain underhand. I don't read the NOTW, infact I don't tend to read any papers bar the freebies or my local as they all seem to bleet the same "end of life as you know it" message on a daily basis (had enough basicly!) but do not think they are alone in this sort of thing by a long shot.0

you should stop shopping then cause nearly every shop has had some dealings with the news of the worldReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected.
