Was he told how many he could list in a month, or just that he had exceeded some unknown quantity?

My advice was to not use the item specifics, so a tally couldn't be kept.
I'm pretty sure that the last one on here had listed a really small amount & wasn't allowed to list any more.

No figure - but it wasn't many. Just told he could list again in 30 days - then the amount allowed will be the same again.

Think he has several accounts now, and i've heard nothing about it since.

If he removed adidas etc from the title - it would accept the listing. Thats probably why they are tightening up even further.

I tried listing 2 of my used All Saints Tops yesterday,...but could only list 1!
The Ebay messsage came up saying something about i've reached the limit of (3) branded items but could list a maximum of 3 after 30 days time.
So in answer to your question, it's 3 items. :( .......Oh, Now it makes sense why they're doing this.
Had a feeling it wasn't for the good of "helping the Buyer".

3 branded items in a 30 day period, is really low, I wonder if that figure's for just personal users or business sellers as well?
Anyone doing an annual wardrobe clear out will take a year to list unless you can skip the brand on the specifics.

That's my point, with this new specifics thing they've introduced it seems like you can't skip putting the Brand in!
Also, the limit is for personal users, as the message also said something about changing to a business user if you want to list more.icon13.gif

So they give 100 free 99p listings to personal sellers free listing weekends & then stop most people from actually being able to list most of what they want to sell.
I've just done a mock listing & you can put unbranded. If you then put the brand in the description people searching for that brand will probably search description as well.

So how do we actually know how many clothing items to list? I have quite a few items ie blouses, t-shirts, bras etc and was going to list them all on the free listing weekend, will it stop me once I have listed a certain amount? I have had a look on the answer board on ebay but cannot find any info, hope someone can help before I start and get all my stuff out of the cupboards. Thanks

If your items are 'branded' or designer then there will be a cap on th enumber of items you can list .

Just have your photos ready as there hasn't been a free listing weekend for a while now, so there might be one due this month.

So far, the block has come up on All Saints, Levi's and a Nike item. I think regular High Street brands should be OK.
I managed to list a Topshop skirt today with no problems.

Just list until it blocks you.
